River debris caught at bridge

An accumulation of debris brought down the River Severn was collecting at the bridge making quite a log pile in the centre of town.

David Earp of the Environment Agency was alerted through the Love Bridgnorth Twitter pages – he messaged throughout Wednesday that they would be trying to clear the log jam but at the time the heavy rain had made it too dangerous to launch the boats as the river was flowing too fast, The EA hope to get the debris cleared as soon as the flow reduces.
