A Friday night in December is a busy one (well you would hope so) and Bridgnorth was buzzing last night and no where more so than Casa Ruiz – the quirky authentic tapas place above the Bridgnorth Deli and reached through a steep old stairway besides Beaman’s in the high street.
They were so busy but so accommodating – we were settled at a table with drinks (Estalla Larger and a glass of white rioja) and some beautiful fresh bread and ailoi mayonnaise so we were happy to wait.
And it was worth it. Crispy calandracas, crispy baby squid, delicious tomato salad, chickpea and chorizo stew, whitebait and Spanish ham – all delicious and washed down with a beautiful full bodied red.
Can always recommend this place for the very freshest cooked food and a great atmosphere. Roughly £30 per head inc drinks.
