Liz Bird’s an absolute trooper and runs Bridgnorth Food Bank like a well-oiled machine in an exceptionally professional and well-organised way. it requires a huge effort and couldn’t be done without the unstinting support and goodwill of the many volunteers who flock to help and the overwhelming generosity of the Bridgnorth community. This week they’re particularly short of tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, sugar, squash, biscuits, cereals and bags for life. Donations can be left at No 7 (West Castle St)any of the churches in Bridgnorth, Sainsbury’s or the Co op (both have trollies at the front), Town Council offices, Barclay’s Bank and Charlie’s at the Old Mill. Please – no alcohol or used toiletriesFor further info on how you can help, see their fb page:https://www.facebook.com/BridgnorthFoodBank/#bridgnorthcommunityspirit#allinthistogether#kindnessmattersmost
Welcome!
Love Bridgnorth has been set up to promote and celebrate all that we cherish about our wonderful town. With events, film reviews, food reviews and local new items covered.
The Twitter and Facebook pages have already proved popular with local people engaging and supplying items themselves - which is how we envisage Love Bridgnorth progressing - into a Community Interest group created by and for the local community.
